Blazers Pick Up Another Conference Win Against Dean

Chicopee, MA. -  The Elms women's basketball team picked up a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win against Dean College 78-31 on Thursday evening in Picknelly Arena.

RECORDS: Elms (12-7, 8-8 GNAC), DC (2-16, 0-14 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, MA) led the Blazers with 21 points and added 13 rebounds as Elms clashed with the Bulldogs on Thursday night at Picknelly Arena. The Blazers are 12-7 overall and 8-8 in the GNAC.

Aiyanalee Lopez (Leominster, MA)  added 14 points and 9 rebounds. While McKenzie Huria (Terryville, CT) added 4 rebounds and 13 points.

The Blazers shot 15-44 (34.09%) from the field in the first two quarters as Peguero-Flores paced the team with 12 points. Lopez added 4 points and Huria scored 7 points. The Blazers were up 17-4 at the half.

The Blazers successfully widened the gap in the next two quarters as they shot 12-32 (37.5%) from the field. The Blazers were solid from the free-throw line, as they went 10-13 in the final quarter. The Blazer offense was paced by Lopez earning eight points in the final minutes. The Blazers defeated the Bulldogs 78-31.
