Diaz and LaRocque Earn GNAC Weekly Awards in Baseball and Women's Lacrosse

WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced their weekly award selections for the week ending on April 12th Monday afternoon.

Three Blazers would earn conference weekly accolades this week for their accomplishments on the field and court.

Sophomore pitcher/infielder Brycen Diaz (Andrews, Texas) would be named the GNAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after he recorded 14 strikeouts in his no-hitter against Norwich University in the first game of the doubleheader last week, while also hitting a home run in the second game.

Junior goalkeeper Marisa LaRocque (Agawam, Mass.) would be named the GNAC Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week after she made 25 saves of the 43 shots she would face last week against Anna Maria College and Lasell University.

Senior midfielder Jackie Cronin (Smithtown, N.Y.) would all be named to the GNAC Weekly Honor in Women's Lacrosse.
