Men's Soccer Draws Second-Straight Conference Game at Colby-Sawyer
NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Elms College Men's Soccer team traveled to play against Colby-Sawyer College in a conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half would quickly begin with both sides taking shots in the opening minute, after Colby-Sawyer taking a shot being saved by senior goalkeeper Aidan Berube (Chicopee, Mass.) and a shot from senior midfielder Jamal Hamisi (Nottingham, United Kingdom) also being saved. The two conference opponents would fight for possession until Hamisi would take a second shot. The Chargers would then take a second shot, followed by a shot from first-year forward Ibrahim Ayouba (Springfield, Mass.). CSC would be the first to score after a shot in the 21st minute of play got past Berube. The Chargers would take one more shot, but it would go above the net. Then in the 33rd minute of play, junior midfielder Abu Sanu (Freetown, Sierra Leone) would kick the ball into the back of the net to tie the game 1-1. The two opposing teams would continue taking shots looking to gain the lead, including a shot from junior Pajorn Drysdale (Nantucket, Mass.), but the horn would sound and the score would remain 1-1 going into the halftime break.
The second half would begin with four shots by Colby-Sawyer and two saves by Berube. The Blazers would then take two shots, with Ayouba taking a second shot and first-year Luigi Scala (Milan, Italy) taking a shot in the 71st minute of play. The Chargers would take two more shots, but neither would be successful as the final whistle blew, and the game would finish as a draw.
