Men's Soccer Tabbed Fifth in 2012 NECC Preseason Poll
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Elms College men's soccer team was selected to finish fifth in the 2012 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Preseason Poll as announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Blazers, who advanced to the semifinals of the 2011 NECC Championship tournament, are poised to make another deep postseason run under fourth-year head coach Chris Streeter. Elms welcomes in some young, talented soccer players and returns its three all-conference selections from last season in forwards Tavish Leland (Bridgton, Maine) and Ziggy Jonathan (Springfield, Mass.), and defender Conor Rieker (Agawam, Mass.) who were each named Second Team All-NECC.
