Pennant Named NECC Rookie of the Week
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College freshman goalkeeper Nicholson Pennant (Kingston, Jamaica) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week in men's soccer as announced by the league on Monday.
Pennant earned his first NECC weekly award after helping Elms to a 1-0-1 week making 11 saves including seven in 55 minutes of action during a double overtime tie against Colby-Sawyer College. Pennant was terrific between the pipes making three of those saves in the second period of extra time to help keep the game a stalemate. Pennant added four stops in a 3-2 victory over Suffolk University.
